Healthy Hair At Home

Good Day Beautiful Souls!

Here’s a simple recipe to show your hair some love. Use this to help keep your hair and scalp healthy, shiny and moisturized until you can get back to your salon.

1 Cup of whatever oil you have at home (preferably Olive Oil)

Add your oil to a medium sized pot.

Check your cupboard to see what herbs you have in stock. Hopefully you have some Rosemary, Thyme, Basil, Sage, Oregano…

If you do, add a tablespoon of each herb to your oil. If you do not have any herbs, your oil will be just fine; no worries! 😊

Turn the burner to medium heat to warm your oil. DO NOT LET THE OIL BOIL. You just want the oil warm.

Stir occasionally and remove your oil from the heat once it’s warm to the touch (use your finger to check the temperature; if it burns your finger it will burn your scalp).

If you’ve used herbs, strain the Herbs with a regular strainer (yes the one you use pasta). If you don’t have a strainer, use the top of your pot cover and leave just enough opening to pour the oil into a bowl.

Now, apply your oil generously throughout your hair and scalp.

Place a shower cap or plastic bag over your head to maintain warmth of the oil.

Leave the oil in for at least an hour.

Wash and condition your hair as usual.

Viola you just gave yourself a warm oil hair treatment at home! Now that wasn’t so hard, was it? 😉
