Good New Day Beautiful Spirits!
This week’s Words of Wisdom is a quote submitted to me and it sure was right on time!
“Live your life without buts!” ~Olivia Smalls
Ms. Smalls’ quote reminds us that we are more than capable of creating and maintaining a life we truly enjoy.
A meaningful life by our own standards if we simply…
Stop making excuses.
Stop hesitating because of this or that.
Stop being afraid of what happens if this time doesn’t work out.
Stop awaiting support and validation from others.
Stop believing we may not be worthy of the life we want.
Re-write your script!
Let’s find out what happens when we…
Stop trying and simply take action…DO!
Be open to changing direction midway if necessary; quitting is NOT an option!
Leave past experiences behind us; this time IS different; we’ve grown so much since then.
Be our very own cheerleader!
Trust ourselves to get it done.
We are worthy of beautiful life experiences. Contrary to what “they” say, life is NOT meant to be difficult.
As always, sending you great Love, Peace & Blessings…
Why are people so offended if you say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas? You cannot force your beliefs or traditions on anyone.
For the record, I do NOT celebrate Christmas; it’s become commercial and has little or any value as far as I am concerned. It’s no longer about faith, tradition and family; it’s all about material gifts.
Many cultures celebrate something around this time; just to name a few…
Pagan/Wiccan Community, Winter Solstice
Jewish Community, Hanukah
Mexican Community, Fiesta of Our Lady of Guadalupe
I say Happy Holidays to honor all cultures and it’s my way of showing compassion and understanding for all people.
I for one cannot be bullied so if you are offended because I do not say Merry Christmas, that is YOUR issue not mine!
Happy Holidays and many Blessings to everyone!
May blessings of great love and peace overflow within and around you, always…
I was so sure I wanted to be a freelance writer so I began looking for gigs; even landed a few. I love a challenge, never have a problem adhering to deadlines and I have no greater love than writing so this should have been a piece of cake right? WRONG! Writing as a “job” sucks! Their rules, their topics, their deadlines; writing as a “job” is regimented and I write when my spirit is touched…what I feel. I don’t feel something I can put into words every day and I certainly don’t feel anything about a topic someone else chooses. Seems I forgot that in school I always protested against paper topics chosen by my teachers/professors and often talked them into giving me a chance to meet their standards writing about something that resonated with me. While I wasn’t always successful making them see things my way…I am proud to say that most times I was allowed to write “my way”.
So what made me think I could write for someone else years later…perhaps feeling a desperate need to build readership? Lesson learned…anything done out of desperation almost never turns out the way you “need” it to! Make no mistake, I am not bitter because I was rejected; on the contrary the writing pieces I’ve submitted were well received but freelance writing is just not for me. I’d rather write from my heart, write about what stirs my spirit and have readers who can relate to or at least feel what I am writing. I love writing because it is the purest form of expression for an introvert like me; how can I ever let someone dictate what I write about?
Follow your passion…something I believe in completely so I’ve decided to publish a novel I’ve been writing for the past few years. I will also continue to write poetic verses and share empowering posts. I am in control and I will become as successful as I wish to be. I am confident and will be true to my craft so enjoy my words or keep it moving…
To everyone taking time to read my words and/or share your thoughts…please know that I genuinely appreciate you!
Love, Peace & Blessings…
